GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

Frequently Asked Questions

Before You Book
What is included in a trip?+

Everything but your lunch. Rods, reels, tackle, bait, your fishing license for the day, and cleaning and bagging your catch are all covered. Just bring food, drinks, sunscreen, and a hat.

How many people can come?+

The bay trips take up to four anglers and the sunset cruise takes up to six guests. If you have a bigger group, give us a call and we can talk about running a second boat.

Do I need a fishing license?+

No. Your trip is covered under the boat's license for the day, so nobody in your party needs to buy one to fish with us.

Are kids welcome?+

Absolutely. Some of the best days on the water are a kid's first fish. The half-day bay trip is the easiest one for younger anglers and beginners.

What should I bring?+

Sun protection, polarized sunglasses, a hat, soft-soled shoes, and a cooler with food and drinks. We supply the rest. A light jacket is smart in the cooler months.

Where do we meet?+

We launch out of the Rockport harbor. Once you book, you will get the exact meeting spot and a what-to-expect note by text and email.

On the Water
What will we catch?+

Depends on the season. Redfish run year-round, speckled trout fire up spring through fall, and the fall flounder run is a favorite. Winter brings black drum and sheepshead. Check the fishing reports for what is biting right now.

What if I have never fished before?+

That is a big part of what we do. Captain Bobby will rig everything, show you the cast, and put you on fish. No experience needed, just show up ready to learn.

Do you keep or release the fish?+

Your call, within the law. We are happy to clean and bag whatever you want to take home for the table, and we practice careful catch and release on the rest.

Payments & Policies
How does payment work?+

A small deposit holds your slot when you book online. The balance is paid on the day, dockside, by card or cash. Deposits are $100 for the half-day, $150 for the full-day, and $75 for the sunset cruise.

What is your cancellation policy?+

Life happens. Cancel or reschedule with at least 48 hours notice and your deposit moves to a new date or is refunded. Inside 48 hours the deposit holds the slot.

What happens if the weather is bad?+

Safety first, always. If the captain calls the trip for weather, your deposit is fully refunded or you reschedule, no questions asked. We watch the marine forecast closely and will reach out if it is looking rough.

Can I book by phone?+

Yes. Call any hour and you can reserve a trip, or our assistant will check the calendar and text you a booking link to finish online. Most folks find booking online the fastest.

Still have a question?

Call the boat directly or book online and we'll sort the details before your trip.
